EVEN If I DIE

The poet speaks about death calmly rather than fearfully. He tells people not to cry excessively when he dies because death comes to everyone. He believes that the body returns to dust, but the soul is immortal. He entrusts his life and destiny to God. Also, prays against untimely death.

Even if I die, don’t tear for me,
Cry – how will you die?
Even if we die, our souls are immortal,
Our bodies belong to dust.

Death, the inevitable chief,
I hang my destiny and fate,
I hang my destiny, my time and day,
Flourishing by grace in life.

Obviously, no one is sure of long life,
Obviously, no one is sure of heaven,
I pray my grace leads to paradise,
Let premature death not claim me.

This life is a flash in the pan,
May God figure my life as Abraham and David’s,
Let me not die while I still live antique on earth,
If I die, I won’t die again.
