The Adroit CGPA Calculator lets you record your own university results semester by semester and see where you actually stand. It works out your semester GPA, your cumulative CGPA and your degree classification, and it will tell you the average you need from here to reach a target.

What Is CGPA

GPA is your grade point average for a single semester. CGPA is the cumulative figure across every semester you have completed. Both are weighted by credit units, so a five unit course moves your average far more than a one unit course does.

How CGPA Is Calculated

For each course, multiply the grade point by the credit units to get quality points. Add up the quality points for all courses, then divide by the total credit units. For CGPA you do the same across every semester rather than one.

On the Nigerian 5.00 scale, which is the calculator’s default and the scale OAU uses, an A scores 70 to 100 and carries 5 grade points, a B scores 60 to 69 and carries 4, a C scores 50 to 59 and carries 3, and so on down the scale.

Which Grading Scale It Uses

The Nigerian 5.00 scale is the default because most Adroit students are on it. It is not fixed. Grading schemes are configurable, and your scheme is copied to your own account the first time you use it, so if your department grades differently you can edit the bands without affecting anyone else. A university on a different scale is a new scheme, not a rebuild.

How To Use It

The calculator keeps your results between sessions, so it needs a student account. Sign in and open it from your Adroit dashboard. If you do not have an account yet, register as a student first.

Your Results Stay Private

Your grades and your CGPA are yours. They are stored against your own account and are never shown publicly anywhere on this site.
