Adroit Tutors is an educational platform for Nigerian university students, based at OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
What We Do
We teach the English, Literature and Philosophy courses that students take under the national CCMAS syllabus. Because the syllabus and the course codes are shared across Nigerian universities, the same tutorial serves students at OAU, UNILAG, UI, UNIABUJA and UNILORIN. A student sitting EGL401 studies the same Topics in Grammar content wherever they are enrolled.
Our subjects are grammar, phonetics and phonology, stylistics, pragmatics, literature and philosophy. Courses are self paced, and every course page sets out the full outline before you enrol so you can see exactly what is covered.
How We Started
Adroit began as tutorials for students at Obafemi Awolowo University who were struggling with courses that were being taught quickly and examined strictly. It has grown into an online platform, but the purpose has not changed. We want the explanation you did not get the first time.
What Else Is Here
Course materials. Printed and digital materials for many of the courses we teach, available from our materials page.
News and Opportunities. Scholarships, fellowships, competitions and calls for applications that Nigerian students can actually apply for, at News and Opportunities.
Adroit Creators. A publishing platform where student writers publish essays, criticism, poetry and fiction under their own names and build a public portfolio. Writers keep their copyright. See Creators.
Student tools. A CGPA Calculator, a Smart Timetable and Adroit AI, a study assistant. All free with a student account.
Who Teaches
Tutorials are taught by the Adroit team, made up of graduates and senior students in the subjects they teach. Creator work is written by the students themselves and credited to them by name.
An Important Note
Adroit Tutors is independent. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Obafemi Awolowo University or any other university. We teach the national syllabus that those universities follow, which is a different thing.
