Last updated 2 October 2026. This policy explains what Adroit Tutors collects, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at adroittutors.edu@gmail.com.
Who We Are
Adroit Tutors is an educational platform based at OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. We run online tutorials for university courses, sell course materials, publish News and Opportunities, and host Adroit Creators, a publishing platform for student writers. Our website is adroittutors.com.
What We Collect
When You Create A Student Account
Your name, email address and the password you set. If you enrol in a course we also hold your enrolment and progress records.
When You Pay
Payments are processed by Paystack. Your card details are entered on Paystack’s systems and are never stored by us. We keep a record of the order, the amount, the item purchased and the date.
When You Use The Student Tools
The CGPA Calculator stores the course results you enter. The Smart Timetable stores the classes and semesters you create. Adroit AI stores your conversations with it so the assistant has context. All three are tied to your account and are visible only to you. We do not publish them and we do not sell them.
When You Apply To Work With Us
Our recruitment form collects your name, contact details, your answers to the application questions and the CV you upload. CVs are stored in a protected folder that is not publicly accessible.
When You Publish On Creators
Your creator profile, display name, biography, university and published works are public by design, because the point of the platform is a public portfolio. Only publish what you are happy for anyone to read.
When You Subscribe Or Comment
Newsletter signup stores your email address. Comments store your name, your comment and the time you posted it.
Automatically
Like most websites we collect basic technical information through cookies and analytics, including pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type, and how you arrived. We use Google Analytics and WP Statistics for this.
Cookies And Advertising
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and measure how the site is used.
We may in future display advertising supplied by Google and other third parties. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site such as signing in will stop working if you do.
Why We Collect It
To give you access to courses you have paid for, to process and record payments, to run the student tools, to publish Creator work under the right byline, to answer you when you contact us, to send updates you asked for, and to understand which parts of the site are useful.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services needed to run the platform, which currently include Paystack for payments, Google for analytics and site tools, and our email delivery provider. Each of these handles your data under its own policy.
We will disclose information where the law requires it.
How Long We Keep It
Account and enrolment records are kept while your account is active. Payment records are kept as long as we are required to keep financial records. Published Creator work stays up until you ask for it to be removed.
Your Choices
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it. Write to adroittutors.edu@gmail.com and we will respond.
You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message we send.
Children
Adroit Tutors is intended for university students and adult learners. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
