Growing up, I used to think that once I got to school, I would start a business, earn money, and gradually get my life together.
I also thought that if I had a phone, I would learn different skills and start making money. But when I finally got one, things didn’t go as I imagined.
Same thing with shoes, bags, clothes and even money. Sometimes, when you desperately need money, it won’t come. But when you don’t really need it, you suddenly get it.
I’ve been wondering about this for a while now.
Why does it seem like some things only come when we no longer need them as much? And why do we sometimes have so many plans for what we’ll do when we finally get something, only to do little or nothing when we get it?
Have you experienced this too? What do you think is the reason?
