‘I can never do that work!’
You can’t, and that’s fine. Those who can will do it.
A series I was watching made me reflect on the naked danger that accompanies military personnel. I thought it very unsafe.
Then, my line of thought changed.
No matter how unsafe, some will do it. Some are made for it and they’ll do it like there’s no other job to do.
The same way I say I cannot do a certain work, some also express their aversion towards what I do.
No matter the nature of a work, there are people made for it. Think of those who pack waste from houses. I might find it disgusting, but some will do it. If there’s no one to do it, we’ll be living in mess. Just as, if no one is going into military, our society will be unsafe.
This is why we should respect all works.
That you can’t do something doesn’t make the work bad or contemptible.
And if someone close to you (friend, child, etc.) wants to do what you can’t do, don’t dissuade them away from it because of your own dislike.
