AN EASTER LETTER TO SISTER ROSELINE

Hi, Sister Roseline,

Happy Easter Sunday.

I don’t know how best to start, but let me begin like this: this Sunday marks the sixth time I have seen you in church, but this time around, you were sitting right in front of me. And oh! What a beauty you wear.

I watched you as you nodded your head attentively to the preachings of the pastor, and later, as you wriggled your slim but hypnotizing waist to the ministration of the choir, and that, I must confess, is the most stunning live cinema I have ever witnessed in my years of existing.

I watched how you stylishly moved with grace, with gentleness, with steez, with aura, and with smiles bathing your face. How you swayed to the rhythm of the talking drums. It would be no exaggeration to mention that you are a goddess when you dance, with that heavenly smile bathing your face.

If you did not notice, I will tell you — your flowy blue dress was a stunner too. I paid enough attention to notice that it hugged your curves in all the right places and swirled around your knees like you’re a bride.

The matching strappy heels you wore added a touch of aura I had never seen, making your legs look captivating and maybe a bit tempting. If I were good with words, I would say your style and charisma are breathtaking and mesmerizing.

Sister Roseline, I… thought I had only loved your fashion sense, your gait, and your grace, but now… I believe I have found something I never had in any woman before. Even from afar, I see peace with you. I see grace. I see value. I see happy moments. I see compassion. I see kindness. And on top of them all, I see beauty — beauty in your heart, in your physique, and in the way you carry yourself.

You seem to be the answer I have been seeking, sister Roseline. I know on a day like this, we remember that Jesus died for our sins. Though I am no Jesus, I would die for a chance with you.

I look forward to hearing from you in the nearest time, sister Roseline. Please write me as soon as you can.

May God be with you always.

Yours in a bit,

Oladimeji,
