Ordinary

It's a poem about the ordinary and domestic nature of love.

‎I want to love you in the most ordinary ways.

‎Wake up with your hands around me,

‎Your soft breath on my neck,

‎Your thumb gently brushing my skin,

‎Our frames lost in the midst of pillows, blanket and domestic love.

‎I want to wake up with you by my side

‎Wishing me a good morning

‎Not knowing it’s already perfect with you by my side.

‎I want to wake up to your soft kisses and bright smile.

‎I want my rushed weekdays filled with you,

‎Lazy weekends spent in your embrace.

‎I want breakfasts filled with jokes and tease,

‎Dinners filled with questions about my day.

‎I want to come back to you everyday as a reward

‎For surviving the outside world.

‎I want my lunch breaks filled with texts and calls from you,

‎Braving through the wreck called life because it’s you by my side.

‎I want photographs of you by my desk,

‎Hands around me and smiling like it’s nobody’s business.

‎I want the teasing, arguments

‎And late nights filled with reaffirming our love.

‎I want to stay up late at night watching cheesy movies with you,

‎Talking about our favorite characters and the ones we dislike.

‎I want the late night walks,

‎The talks about the most ordinary things.

‎I want to go grocery shopping with you,

‎Bickering about the things we should get.

‎I want the foods burnt because we got away with adult business.

‎I want the dinner dates,

The walks outside the gates.

‎I want to get drunk with you,

‎Fight with random dudes because they were looking at me weirdly.

‎I want to have you in the most ordinary ways.
